Ok People... Does this look like Marilyn Monroe to you? Only Dee(Mariner). Notice the high
heel marks just behind her hands. Teenee tiny....

Going north on California's coastal Hwy 1... this is what you see on the left side of the
road. "Don't stand too close!"

Some people are brave enuff to build houses off the edge of the hwy! YIKES! (think they
get there by parachute?)

This is what you see on the right side of the road. AND the roads are very narrow and
winding. They recommend no semi's but we passed a few (just barely!)

This is the coastline across the road (back at my right) from the Hearst Castle on Calif's
coastal Hwy 1.

Also, Cody across the road from Hearst Castle...

And Dee (Mariner).

The Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, Calif. (looking south from the Sausalito side).

Here are those "streets of San Francisco". As you will notice, they go straight
down! (and straight back up). Brake and transmission shops were seen everywhere here.

Here is Stu at the corner of Haight and Ashbury. A step back to the 60's as you walk down
these streets.

The famouse winding "Lombard Street" over looking San Francisco's Bay (note the
watchtower of Alcatraz, far center). Two cars directly in front of us you will see the top
of the white van. Large cars find it quite tight to manuever here.

Here is Alcatraz Island prison from Fisherman's Wharf over the top of my car.

Alcatraz from a boat just off it's shoreline.

Looking from Alcatraz to the city of San Francisco. This site must've been something the
prisoner's looked at often....
"So near... yet so far"
The distance is ONLY 1 1/2 miles in the frigid waters of San Francisco Bay. Sharks have
been seen here.

Here are the barracks that housed soldiers during the time Alcatraz Island was a military
fortress.
