Susan in Missouri
"Hi, I'm Susan and standing next to me is my wonderful hubby, Mike, to whom I have been married for going on 28 years (although it doesn't seem that long.) I'm including him because he is 100% supportive of all my work with SA, which I joined in January, 2005, and he enjoys shopping for care packages and volunteers to stand in the Post Office lines to mail them for me (in addition to providing dollars for the goodies that we send.) Besides, he's a cutie pie so I figured you might enjoy looking at him too :-)
We live in Lee's Summit, Missouri, a southeastern suburb of Kansas City but are actually transplants from the east coast (Virginia and North Carolina.) We've got two grown kids, one married with two little boys, and the other in his third year of college, a "pound puppy" dog (Charlie) and a Maine Coon cat (Moose.) I am a Legal Secretary for a large KC law firm although I am hoping to "retire" after this year and have all my time to myself!
I grew up as an Air Force "brat" and have two AF veterans in the family. War is never an easy thing but is sometimes necessary and I fully support our President and our troops ... they are making this world a better place one day at a time. I am honored to be a part of an organization like Soldiers' Angels so I can do my part.
