Katrina in Washington

I'm originally from Vancouver, Washington, but moved across the state in order to attend Washington State University, where I am a junior studying Human Resource Management, with minors in Hospitality Management and History. I'm surrounded by wheat--literally--so I've had to get used to new surroundings! I miss the trees and mountains back home sometimes, but I love it here too.
In my free time that always seems to be slipping through my fingers these days, I love to go spend time in the great outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and hiking are on the top of my list. I grew up romping around after my dad and older brother as they hunted and whatnot, so as a result I was a pretty big tom-boy until recently. Don't worry, my tom-boyishness is still there, but I keep it a little more hidden now!! I also love to read, cross-stitch, and draw.
Each generation of my family has been peppered with Army and Marine soldiers that stretch back to the Civil War. Every major conflict this country has fought in has seen a member of my family step up and fight for what he believes in. Most recently my brother heard the call and volunteered for a tour in Iraq. He returned safely last March after a year in the "sandbox," and stands ready to serve once more if called. I stand behind him and every other man and woman of our military one hundred percent!! They are real life heroes and deserve all the respect that this great country can offer!!
I have been a member of Marsha's team since March 2006, and have been met with nothing but kindness at every turn! I think we all make a great team. Let's keep on showering our soldiers with love and goodies!
