Cheryl In Oklahoma

Hi, I am Cheryl. I am 46, married to Stu with three daughters, a stepson and four grandkids. We live in central Oklahoma, better known as "SOONER COUNTRY".
I am a stay-at-home person since my wonderful husband has decided we don't need the 2nd income. We own two newspapers in our area, to which I help with billing a couple times a month. So, I do get out "some."
I like to quilt, crochet, read, play on computer and a slew of other crafts. Mostly, I am a quilter.
I have been with Soldier's Angels since Feb. 20, 2006. I am doing this in remembrance of a fine marine I lost on Feb. 17, 2006. I adopted Donnie two years ago Jan. as my military person. He was a lovely young man who died much too young for this war I think we shouldn't even be in. Don't get me wrong, I support my military 200%, I just don't like the rationale of the whole situation.
I love all those folks who give of themselves each and every day for my country. If I could reach out and hug each and every one of them, I certainly would. I am humbled by what they do for me on a day to day basis and all they sacrifice to do so.
I enjoy my SA's team with my mentor, Marsha, who has welcomed me and loved me with open arms during a time when I was at a loss.
This group of ladies are a "Stupendous" group of girls who support our troops with letter writing and package sending. We want every soldier to have a touch of home while they are so far from home.
