Candace
in California's Bay Area
Hello
Everyone...It is nice to virtually meet you. My name is Candace and I am
neither the youngest nor the oldest in the group - even though I feel like
both at times...lol.
I am
a California native, and yes we are a rare breed. I have lived in the
Bay Area for the vast majority of my life - except the first two years, which
were spent in So Cal, and the time the Army had me. (Yes, I am a
veteran, which is the reason that I am so happy to do my part to help brighten
the lives of our soldiers.)
I am
a December baby - December 26 to be exact.
Currently,
I am an administrative specialist and work with a fellow angel in this group -
Micayla. She is actually the person that got me started with Soldiers'
Angels in Jan of this year.
I
earned my BS in BS (err...actually in Business Management, but I think it is
about the same...lol), and I am hoping to apply for my masters degree within
the next year. I guess that is my five year goal - to complete my next
degree.
Outside
of that, I am a really normal, down-to-earth person, who enjoys life. My
mom helps keep me grounded, while still helping me reach for the stars. My
boyfriend (pictured above) is a wonderful man, who fortunately loves my
two cats because they are like my children. I would seriously be
lost without them.
I
love to read and listen to music, and I am a HUGE Disney fan. I have an
annual pass to Disneyland and go down there at least four times a year.
One of my hobbies is
collecting Disney pins, especially of my two favorite characters - Tigger
and Stitch (pictured below on the dolphin 
).
My other hobbies include writing; just about anything to do with the beach;
photography, which I have not been doing too much of lately; the theatre
(watching not acting...lol); and listening to music.
